About this …

Some years ago I started to explore the possbilities of photography. It became my favorite and ambitious hobby.

In the beginning I used mirrorless digital cameras. But the great level of automatisation in picture taking as the vast possibilities of digital picture editing slowed down my learning curve. I ended up with tons of pictures stored in my computers memory – but I forgot most of them.

My decision to use manual, analogue film cameras has been the logical next step. I do not regard the one “being better” than the other way to take pictures, but I would say it is a completely different kind of photography.

Today I use both and I enjoy taking pictures on film, develop it and then create the positive in my darkroom as well as shooting digital pictures and sharing them in a second around the globe…

As a travel photography enthusiast my intention is to tell stories about life and people in a social or urban environment. I do not want to be disrespectful or offend anybody. If you find a picture of yourself which you do not want to be public please let me know. I will immediately remove the picture from publication.

License stuff:

Since I do not intend to earn money with my pictures I decided not to put a complete copyright on them. All pictures are published under a creative commons license with the beautiful name “CC BY-SA 2.0“:

“Attribution — You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.

ShareAlike — If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you must distribute your contributions under the same license as the original.

No additional restrictions — You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits.”

So feel free to download and use as within this license.
